Web design and web development for B2B companies.

Design and technology of a B2B website serve the same purpose: a prospect should quickly see whether they are in the right place and find a suitable next step.

In short

We plan, design and build B2B websites: information architecture by buying process, design at real breakpoints, server-rendered HTML with structured data and a content management system for your team. Duration: six to twelve weeks.

Definition

Server-rendered HTML means that the complete page content is already contained in the delivered document instead of being created in the browser by JavaScript. For search engines and AI assistants, this decides whether a page is read reliably.

01 · Starting point

Three decisions that determine the impact of a B2B website.

The impact of a B2B website is decided in three places. Colour choice is not one of them.

First, structure. A website organised by departments forces visitors to think their way through your organisation. A website organised by questions leads to an answer. Every core service needs its own indexable page.

Second, delivery. Content that is only created in the browser cannot be read reliably by many crawlers and AI assistants. We therefore deliver finished HTML.

Third, maintainability. If every change means a ticket with the agency, the website will be outdated within a year. Your team therefore builds new pages from existing components.

Standard in every project

  • Server-rendered HTML for all content
  • Largest Contentful Paint under 2.0 seconds
  • Structured data as JSON-LD
  • Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 level AA
  • Redirect plan for all existing URLs
  • Briefing and short documentation at handover

02 · Page types

Which pages a B2B website needs.

Page types and their purpose
Page typeAnswersKey element
Home pageWho is this for?One sentence on the position, followed by the entry to the services
Service pageDoes this solve my problem?Definition, approach, deliverables and FAQs, one page per service
Industry pageDo they know my situation? The conditions of the industry, not your own service
Reference or case studyHave they done this before?Starting point, approach and result, effective even when anonymised
ArticleDo they understand the subject? One question answered in full, without a form
Contact pageWhat happens when I get in touch?Process, response time and a named contact person

The order reflects the typical path through a B2B buying process.

Frequently asked

Frequently asked questions about web design and development.

What does a B2B website cost?
A relaunch including architecture, design, copy and development sits in the middle to upper part of our project range of €10,000 to €50,000. Development based on existing designs costs considerably less.
Do you work with WordPress?
If it fits the case, yes. For many B2B websites with moderate editorial activity we recommend a statically delivered solution because it is faster, more secure and needs less maintenance. We take over and optimise existing WordPress installations.
Can you set up our website in several languages?
Yes. Multilingual support is built into the architecture from the start, including hreflang markup and separate URLs per language. Adding languages later is regularly the more expensive option.
Do you offer maintenance?
Yes, as optional monthly support with security and system updates, uptime monitoring, smaller changes and a quarterly review of load times and indexing.
What about portals, configurators or customer areas?
Anything beyond a classic website is handled by the specialist unit BuildBP: software, web apps, portals and internal systems. Strategic leadership stays with Proxfon Media.
